Types of verbs to report in Indirect Speech
1. - followed by to - infinitive
agree ; - I will help you at that project! ; Teo agreed to help us at that project .
offer ; I will wash the dishes tonight ! ; She offered to wash the dishes tonight .
promise ; I won't tell your secret ! ; She promised not to tell her secret.
refuse ; I won't do the project with you! ; She refused to do the project with them .
threaten ; I am going to find you ! ; He threatened to find me anywhere!
2. followed by SOMEBODY + to-infinitive
advise ; You should study for your test ! ; He advised me to study for my test !
ask ( a ruga); Can you play with me ? ; Iustin asked me to play with him . AGAIN !
beg ; Can you play with me? Please ! PLease ! ; The above-mentioned brother of mine begged me to play with him .
invite ; Would you like to come to my party ? ; Teo invited her to come to her party .
order ; - Aim your targets ! ; The commander odered them to aim their targets!
remind; Don't forget to take the swimsuit ! ; My mom reminded me to take my swimsuit .

3. verbs followed by -ing
admit to ; I have stolen the red hen ! ; Her granson admitted to stealing the red hen .
accuse smb of ...; I know you have copied my homework! She accused him of copying her homework.
apologise for ; I am sorry for that incident ! He apologised for having that incident .
boast about / of ( a se lauda cu ) ; I am the best at basketball in my class ! ; He boasted about being the best basketball player in his class.
complain (to smb ) of; I can't stand the lack of pupils' education ! She complained of lacking education in pupils.
deny ; I wasn't there ! ; He denied being there !
insist on ; Come on , Teo , play with me ! ; Iustin insisted on playing with me!
suggest ; Why don't we play with water ? My classmates suggested playing with water .
4. verbs followed by that
